Various performances of Weill's works in Europe and the U.S., along with several Lenya practice tapes (but only two performances tapes), interviews with Lenya, performances of Brecht, and a few other items. Items of particular interest: 1930 performance of Der Lindberghflug with Erik Wirl in the title role; Ernst Busch's performance of "Der Bäkker backt ums Morgenrot" from Der Silbersee; 1979 productions of Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny at the Metropolitan Opera and of Street Scene at the New York city Opera; 1960 performance of Die Bürgschaft on Norddeutscher Rundfunk; 1965 broadcast of Happy End in Canada; 1980 concert at the Whitney Museum with Teresa Stratas and the Gregg Smith Singers; recordings from the 1971 Holland Festival; William Horne singing the Walt Whitman Songs; George Grosz at a party on Long Island in 1951; and recordings of less common works such as the Divertimento, Recordare, Royal Palace, Öl-Musik and Bastille-Musik (arr. Drew), Ballad of Magna Carta, and Huckleberry Finn.

Born in Austria, Lenya became an actress in Zürich, then moved to Berlin where she met and married Kurt Weill. They emigrated to the U.S. in 1935, where Lenya lived until her death a few months after this interview was recorded.
